WALKABOUT - A PLACE FOR VISIONS

was inspired by the film of the same name, directed by Nicholas Roeg, and the original novel, The Children, by James Vance Marshall. This project was made possible with funding from New Zealand School of Music at Victoria University of Wellington and the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.

The Jazzgroove Mothership Orchestra is Australia's premiere jazz orchestra. In 2011, the group commissioned Dave Lisik's album-length composition, Walkabout - A Place for Visions, and recorded and premiered the work, with guest soloists Alex Sipiagin and Bob Sheppard, at the Sydney Conservatorium.
