Erik Asatrian is an Austrian/Armenian piano player and producer, who specializes in the field of electronic sound-design. Erik holds a bachelor degree from the Musik und Kunst Privatuniversität der Stadt Wien (MUK) and is currently teaching Pop Keyboard and Production at the Gustav Mahler Privatuniversität (GMPU) in Klagenfurt. Through the mixture of influences from jazz, classical, and Armenian folk music, and electronic elements, Erik has created a unique musical language. He is featured prominently in the Joander Cruz Quartet, in collaboration with EXEA, and with the Iranian singer Emma, in which he mainly acts as a producer and sound designer.

Nina Feldgrill is an electric bass player, composer and co-leader of the jazz fusion band, RIVER. With an extensive resumé of musical accomplishments, Feldgrill is establishing a reputation as one of Europe’s most outstanding young jazz musician/composers. A native of Vienna, Austria, Feldgrill completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in jazz bass at the Musik und Kunst Privatuniversität der Stadt Wien (MUK) and a master’s degree at the Jam Music Lab University.

The New York Times calls Esther Lamneck “an astonishing virtuoso.” Winner of the prestigious Pro Musicis Award, she has appeared as a soloist with major orchestras, with conductors such as Pierre Boulez, and with renowned chamber music artists and music improvisors throughout the world. A versatile performer and an advocate of contemporary music, she is known for her work with electronic media including interactive arts, movement, dance and improvisation.
Dr. Lamneck is known for her performances on the Hungarian Tárogató. The instrument's aural tradition has led her to perform it almost exclusively in new music improvisation settings. Dr. Lamneck received her B.Mus., M.Mus. and Doctoral degrees from the Juilliard School of Music where she was a clarinet student of Stanley Drucker. She currently serves as Program Director of Woodwind Studies and the Clarinet Studio at New York University.

Natalie Matias is a graduate of the Sydney Conservatorium (MMus, 2014) and New Zealand School of Music (BArts, 2010). She completed a doctorate in music analysis at Durham University working with Professor Julian Horton. Natalie’s work is in concert hall composition, film composition, film music analysis and formal analysis. She has previously been supervised and mentored by Dr. James Wierzbicki, Dr. Rosalind Page, Mrs. Natalia Sheludiakova and Kenneth Young. In 2013, Natalie won the Jean Bogan Youth Prize for composers under 25 years for Suite for Piano, premiered by prominent Australian pianist, Michael Kieran Harvey at the University of Newcastle. She was a New Zealand Symphony Orchestra Todd COrporation Young Composer Award Finalist in 2011 featuring her work The Crucible.

Guitarist and composer, Davide Raisi received his master’s degree in Jazz Performance (with Honours) at the Conservatory of Adria (Italy). His professional experience includes collaborations with top jazz artists from Europe and United States. He has performed as a leader and sideman in festivals like Modena Jazz Festival, Cesenatico Jazz Festival, Jazz For Anna. For his 2018 SkyDeck Music album, Slaves of Memories,Raisi composed and recorded with John Riley, Paolo Ghetti and Stefano Bedetti. He also studied writing for large and small ensemble at the Modena Jazz Academy with the some of the most important arrangers from Italy, Roberto Spadoni and Paolo Silvestri.After a period he spent living and working in London as a performer and educator, he is currently teaching in Italy as a professional music and private teacher.

Simon Springer is an Austrian drummer, composer, and educator based in Vienna, and member of the jazz fusion quartet, RIVER. Born in Innsbruck, Springer started playing drums at the age of three. Simon is a prominent musician in Austrian jazz, fusion and contemporary music scene, collaborating with Jakob Zimmermann Trio, Gene Pritsker, and Rens Newland, as well as the Austrian pop scene with Wolfgang Ambros, Gert Steinbäcker, and Franz Morak. Springer was winner of the Hansjürg Hensler Jazz Award in 2018 and won first place with distinction at the 1st Tyrolean Drummer Contest in 2016. Springer holds a master’s degree from the Musik und Kunst Privatuniversität der Stadt Wien (MUK).

Robert Unterköfler is a saxophonist, woodwind doubler, and composer based in Vienna, Austria. A co-leader of the fusion jazz quartet, RIVER, Unterköfler has established himself as a versatile musician and an exceptional voice on the tenor saxophone. His recent collaborations include Christian Muthspiel’s Orjazztra Vienna, Slowklang, founded by the Austrian singer Amina Bouroyen, and the Valentin Duit Quartett. In addition to RIVER, Robert runs his own projects including the Rote Welt Quintett, zwölf nach vier, and his latest solo project, Sidrat. Robert earned an undergraduate degree from Musik und Kunst Privatuniversität der Stadt Wien (MUK) and a master’s at the Jam Music Lab University.

Anthony Williams is known for his exceptional versatility as a trombonist. He has forged a successful career as a performer by showcasing his unlimited stylistic range in a vast array of performances and professional recordings. He has shared the stage with artists and ensembles such as Ray Charles, Natalie Cole, Peter Erskine, Rufus Reid, Mulgrew Miller, Jeff Coffin, Clark Terry, and David Sanchez. His playing can be heard on several recordings which include albums by the Dave Lisik Orchestra, The Michael Waldrop Big Band, The Ryan Middagh Group, and as a student with the University of Memphis Southern Comfort Jazz Ensemble, and multi-award winning University of Northern Iowa Jazz Band One playing lead trombone. Current projects by Williams include the commissioning of new jazz-influenced solo trombone works.
